Robbie Williams is to play a one-off gig at St John at Hackney this month, in a move signalling the church’s growing status as one of London’s top live music venues.
The former member of Take That will be performing songs from his recent album The Heavy Entertainment Show on 14 December ahead of a forthcoming stadium tour.
Williams, famously dismissed as “that fat dancer from Take That” by Noel Gallagher, is one of the best-selling artists of all time and a Guinness Book of World Records holder for concert ticket sales.

Tickets for the one-off gig are a cool £125 each.
They will be available from the Amazon Tickets website from 9am (tomorrow) Tuesday 6 December.
