Titbits – mediums and misspellings spook council

◆ Spelling has never been the council’s forte. Bookseller Gary Moult recently took umbrage at its misspelling of Clapton’s Glyn Road. Meanwhile, Shakspeare Walk remains forever the appellation of the Stoke Newington street flanked by poetic counterparts Milton Grove and Wordsworth Road. The Citizen understands this is an intentional misspelling. However, last year ballot papers for postal votes were sent out late after “Conservative” was rendered “Conversative”.
